Press Release: Lift One Corridor Open House Monday at Limelight

Lift One Lodge, Gorsuch Haus and the Aspen Skiing Co. will present their plans to open up skiing and lift service below Lift 1A all the way to Dean Street in an open house at 5:45 p.m. at the Limelight Lodge in Aspen.

There will be renderings of the site plan and representatives from both proposed lodges and the Aspen Skiing Co. will be on hand from 5-7 p.m. to answer questions. The Aspen Historical Society will also be a part of the presentation and be available to answer questions.

All who are interested in learning about the Lift One Corridor Plan are encouraged to attend.

“This is about much more than Gorsuch Haus, Lift One Lodge or placement of a new lift, so I hope everyone comes to see the plan,” says Jeff Gorsuch, part of the Gorsuch Haus team.

“This is about reopening this side of the mountain to the community and highlighting our skiing history with the Skiers Chalet Lodge becoming a Aspen Ski History Museum and the Skiers Chalet Steakhouse reopening as a restaurant. It’s about restoring Aspen as a possible venue for World Cup racing. It’s about making it easy to walk or bike to the lift and easy to get up on the hill on the west side of Aspen Mountain,” Gorsuch continued.

The open house begins at 5 p.m. and goes until 7 p.m. in the main lobby at the Limelight Lodge, 355 South Monarch Street in Aspen. The presentation begins at 5:45. Attendees will get a free glass of beer, wine or a non-alcoholic beverage.
